‘The lives of my family hang on the threads I embroider’

How a US and an Indian non-profit join forces to help artisans and their communities.

This video piece for the International Folk Art Market | Santa Fe explains how the Market helps Indian non-profit SEWA bring holistic development to rural Gujarat province. The interview was recorded (in a noisy hotel lobby) by one of the Market staff on a visit to India, and I used that as the basis for the video, writing the script (which I recorded), and then sourcing the images and music before building out the piece. It was featured prominently on the Market’s website and social media channels, and shown at fundraising events.
